Sutton Project

This renovation involved opening up the kitchen area, moving the laundry, make a bathroom, and creating a bedroom and family room from an old sleep-out.

“The renovation looked so fabulous that we had to update a few bits in the existing house so that it didn’t look so drab!”

The 1940’s brick clad home was small, dark and, in some parts, in original condition.

Our clients brief was to have a warm family home with more space. They really wanted a bath and, once we’d moved the laundry, there was plenty of room for a big family bathroom.

While the budget was a healthy one, it had to go a long way. One cost-saver was to use the services of Granite Transformations to install granite over the existing laminate benchtops.

“It’s all about using quality in items that get a lot of use and need to stand the test of time such as tapware, and then saving a bit where you can.”

Once we opened up the living areas, we continued with the light and bright feel mixing a natural white wall colour and crisp timber trims with light beige and grey tones in tiles and carpets. One breakout from that was the kitchen splashback which used a grey and blue hexagon tile to provide that punch of personality.

The overall effect is absolutely breathtaking and our clients are very happy with the result.
