This is an original brick and tile small cottage in South Perth. When the owner bought the property it was dated, had a separate kitchen, small eating area, one bathroom, and was very pokey.
To open up this space, we removed some walls to create an open kitchen, meals and living area.
We also added a set of French doors to the back courtyard to add character.
The rudimentary laundry was replaced with a combined bathroom and laundry and the main bathroom re-orientated to become an ensuite off the main bedroom.
A neutral but modern palette was used to keep it light and bright with traditional touches such as the Oberon profile in the cabinet doors and white shutters on the windows.
The crystal cabinet knobs on the ensuite, sparkly wallpaper in the main bedroom, and high ceilings throughout with decorative ceilings and cornices created a beautiful space for the owners to call home!
